Classic full-body therapeutic Swedish-style massage – highly recommended for the massage novice. A combination of long strokes and kneading reduces tension, soothes sore muscles and increases circulation to promote total relaxation. Customized to your preference of light, medium or firm pressure and focus on your areas of concern. Your therapist will discuss with you any areas to focus on and your desired level of pressure.
Deep Tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Recommended for muscle fatigue or spasm resulting from injury, athletic overuse or stubborn, chronic conditions. The purpose is to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slower strokes and deeper hand or finger pressure on the contracted or restricted areas of muscle, tendon and fascia. The term “Deep Tissue” is a general name for a variety of techniques that are often blended together during your massage .
Deep Tissue techniques include massage modalities such as Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, trigger point massage and other massage techniques. These techniques also often include stretching, and often your therapist will suggest deep breathing to help your muscles release and to keep any discomfort to a minimum. The therapist will work to your tolerance to ensure the deep, therapeutic work you are looking for. Not recommended for first-time massage.

The ancient healing art of Stone Massage has been part of the eastern world of alternative therapy for thousands of years. Stones are placed on various muscle groups to relax your tight muscles. Then a slow, deeply warming massage is performed with the heated stones. This massage, in combination with the energy balancing and placement of the hot stones, stimulates the circulatory system ridding the body of tension and stress. Heat creates deeper relaxation of the muscles, stimulates the nervous system & assists with injury. Close your eyes, relax and enjoy warm stones that are gently placed and massaged on your body and let the stress melt away!

Ashiatsu, (ashi means foot and atsu means pressure), is an ancient form of bodywork brought to us by Buddhist monks. Ashiatsu combines the best elements of traditional Thai massage, barefoot shiatsu from Japan and Keralite massage from southern India. It combines Swedish, Myofascial, and compression techniques that are applied to the body with the therapist’s feet. Ashiatsu is an art, where the feet glide effortlessly over the contours of the client’s body.
The therapist supports themselves with wooden bars suspended from the ceiling while applying different foot strokes along the body. Using the pressure of the therapist’s feet on strategic points along the back and spine, a push-pull-pumping affect is created on the soft tissue that surrounds the muscles and inter-vertebral disc space.
Using a protocol of strokes that are gliding with the pressure of the feet, a “push, pull, pumping” effect is created on the intervertebral disc space. This deep compression on the soft tissue around the joints allows the nucleus pulposus (inside the disc) to assume its central position within the annular fibers and relieve irritations on the spinal nerve caused by inflammation and swelling is performed with smooth, flowing, gliding deep foot pressure. Mobilization above and below the joints naturally takes place due to the deep compression to surrounding muscle.

Trigger points can be caused by muscles that become dysfunctional and stay in a constant contraction without a signal from the nervous system, resulting in muscle weakness and pain referral. Over 73% of the time, pain referral is not located where it originates. Through trigger point analysis and palpation, the pain source is located and treated by static compression. Trigger points aren’t exclusively located in muscles: they are also found in skin and ligaments. Below are few common examples of problems addressed by deep tissue massage and who would benefit.
- Cervical pain
- Back Pain; sciatia
- Scoliosis and kyphosis
- Neurological interference
- Restriction of motion
- Chronic pain
- Postural distortions

Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than more classic forms of massage. Performed fully clothed on a mat on the floor, Thai massage involves gentle stretching and pressure along energy lines to clear stagnation, improve range of motion, relieve pain and liberate energy. All stretching is within comfortable limits – clients do not have to be “flexible”.
Thai massage is also called Thai yoga massage, because the therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Many people say Thai massage is like doing yoga without any work. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during treatment.
People describe Thai massage as both relaxing and energizing.

We also offer a modified version of Thai Massage that is done on the massage table in slightly abbreviated adaptation of the traditional mat Thai session and also shorted into a 60 minute session.
A Japanese acupressure treatment that activates the body’s self-healing abilities. Performed fully clothed on a mat on the floor, while the therapist’s fingers, palms, elbows and feet apply direct pressure, your muscles are stretched and your joints are gently rotated. Energizing, yet deeply relaxing. Stimulates, restores balance, relieves tension and stress, imparts a renewed feeling of vitality. Since no massage oil is used in this treatment, Shiatsu can be performed through loose attire, on a massage table or comfortable floor cushion.

Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize the body. Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced. Reiki energy has several basic effects: it brings about deep relaxation, destroys energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body. The laying of hands is used in Reiki therapy also as in spiritual healing. There is a difference though. In spiritual healing, a person with a strong energy field places his or her hands above a particular part of the recipient’s body in order to release energy into it. So, here the healer is the one who is sending out the energy. In Reiki, however, the healer places the hands above the recipient; however, it is the recipient that draws the energy as needed. Thus, in this case, the individual being healed takes an active part in the healing process as opposed to having a passive part in spiritual healing. The individual takes responsibility for his or her healing. The recipient identifies the needs and cater to them by drawing energy as needed. Although there are a few positions in which the practitioner is in contact with the patient (such as cradling the head), most Reiki treatments do not involve actual touching. The practitioner holds his or her hands a few inches or farther away from the patient’s body and manipulates the energy field from there.
Choose from HAND or FOOT reflexology. All the organs in the body are reflected in our hands and feet. Working on specific areas on the hands or feet stimulates the corresponding organ within the body.
